Carl Kenneth Moberg, Sr., 53, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, FL. He was born on January 1, 1956 in Waukegan, IL to Ralph F. and Charlene Mae (nee Oechsle) Moberg. He is survived by his loving family, four children, Carl (Jamie) Moberg, Jr. of Winthrop Harbor, Jamie (Michelle) Moberg, Steven (Kalla Nusbaum) Moberg both of Wonder Lake, Shantelle (Jeremiah Stone) Moberg of Holiday Hills, IL; brother, Michael Moberg of Trevor, WI; sisters, Susan (Clark) Berg of Leesburg, FL, Sandra (Randall) Marschall of Ingleside, IL, Sharon (Joseph) Bryzek of Hartford, WI; grandchildren, Matthew, Noah, Cameron, Taylor, Alexandra, Kayla, Justin, Bryce and Kaydin; Lynette Winkle, mother of his four children; nieces and nephews, Michael (Becky), Jill, Nicole, Kyle, Marika, Shelly, Corey, Jonathan (Kristie), Sheila, James, Hannah, Benjamin, Joseph, Bethany and Tabitha; great nieces and nephews, Cayla, Mikie, Jordan, Kara and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Moberg and sister, Ann Marie Moberg. Carl was born and raised in Lake Villa. Throughout his life he lived in Haywood, WI, Elmhurst, IL and then Leesburg, FL. He was a dedicated worker for Local 150 Operating Engineers for 23 years. Carl was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and brother-in-law. He passed away surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with cancer. He lived his life with a great love for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening and a sincere love for operating heavy equipment. Family and friends may meet on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 2-6 pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Kundinger officiating. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
