Calvin Shaffer

Calvin Shaffer, 3, of Lake Villa, IL, passed from this life to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 22, 2019, in Lake Forest, IL to Jason and Stephanie Shaffer (nèe Lindsay).

Calvin is survived by his parents; sister, Abigail; paternal grandparents, Jan Shaffer, and Phil Hanna; maternal grandparents Doug and Chris Lindsay; along with numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, numerous cousins and many dear friends.

Calvin’s contagious giggle brought joy to all around him.  He loved being a big brother to Abigail and was very proud of all his accomplishments including being Momma’s helper, playing Rocket League with Daddy, reading books, playing ball in the hallway, lining up his Hot Wheels (he couldn’t get enough of his cars), and being fascinated by dinosaurs.  He also enjoyed his many activities, swimming, gymnastics, the “choo-choo garden”, and going to see Papa’s fishies.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Church, 2300 N. Dilleys Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031.  Interment will be at Millburn Cemetery in Wadsworth, IL immediately following.
