Brock Benedetto

December 28, 1976 — January 28, 2022

Zion, Illinois

Brock Benedetto, 45, of Zion, Illinois passed on January 28, 2022, with his mother, sister and three oldest daughters by his side.

Brock was born in Macon, Georgia on December 28, 1976, to Craig and Brenda Benedetto. Brock was never married as the true loves of his life were his daughters – Phoenix, Miah, Brianna and Haylee and his daughter of the heart Sophie.

Brock is survived by his mother, Brenda Benedetto, his older sister, Brooke (Dj) Hacker, daughters—Phoenix (17), Miah (16), Brianna (15), Haylee (5), and daughter of the heart Sophie (11), brother of the heart Dave Creekmore, nephew Morgan (Miranda) Beauvais, niece Makayla (Dakota) Cutbirth, nephews Quinlan and Rialan Beauvais, great-nephew Elijah Beauvais and great-niece Layla Cutbirth.

Throughout his life, Brock was an active Patriot. Brock served in the U.S. Army; he was an Expert Marksman and Paratrooper in the Infantry. His grandfather passed on a love of fishing to Brock, who then passed on that love to his daughters. He loved sports – the 49ers, the Braves, and the Blackhawks to name a few, and played semi-pro football with his daughters as his cheerleaders. The most important things in Brock’s life were his family and friends. He showed love and compassion to his fellow coworkers and a willingness to go above and beyond in whatever field he worked.

Brock’s final gift was the gift of life. He’d chosen to be an organ donor, to honor the man that had saved his own father by donation. When Brock passed, he saved three lives – his liver and two kidneys gave those families hopefully, more years with their loved ones.

The visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, beginning at 3 PM with a service time at 4 PM at Warren funeral home – 1475 North Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. There will not be a burial service as Brock’s wish was to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Brock’s military service, to the ZBTHS NJROTC program. His daughters are on the NJROTC Rifle Team and have various tournaments and competitions throughout the year. These donations will assist them in being able to travel across the country for those events.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with current State of Illinois mandates, all guests will be required to wear a face mask while in the funeral home.

Warren funeral home is assisting the family.
