Bradley Brock

Bradley Brock, 85, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, July 15, 2016 in Libertyville, IL, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He leaves his faithful wife of 61 years, Joyce (Burke) Brock; his three daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Markech of Grayslake, IL, Linda (Alfonso) Lampkins/Gallo of Elgin, IL, and Tammy (Fernando) Goyes of Grayslake, IL; his five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, siblings and many close extended family members and friends in Kentucky and Illinois. Born and raised in Coldiron, Kentucky, devoted son of Zachary and Edna (nee Hopkins) Brock. At 16, he moved to Chicago, where he lived and raised his family until his passing. He had the opportunity to join Continental Can Company in Chicago, where he preceded to faithfully work for them for the next 38 years until his retirement. He met his wife Joyce Burke, originally from Dayhoit, in Chicago through a relative. They exchanged letters and Bill Monroe songs until they married on May 13, 1955. Quickly after, their three girls were born. Bradley loved taking yearly trips back down home to see his family. He was known for his unshakeable and genuine faith in the Lord and his constant desire to tell others about Him. He believed in working hard and loving people well. He was a talented musician and played for many years in different venues. He leaves an incredible legacy of children and grandchildren that all love the Lord and and are working for Him. That was his heart's desire. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or you may send flowers to the funeral home for the services.
