Bonni Ann Chiaramonte, beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on July 1, 2023 in Waukegan. Born on January 1, 1946, Bonni's life was filled with passion, dedication, and love.
From a young age, Bonni displayed a remarkable work ethic and began her professional journey at the tender age of 13. She worked tirelessly in various fields throughout her life and made a lasting impact wherever she went. While working at the Terrace Nursing Home of Waukegan, her dedication and commitment to caring for others were greatly appreciated.
Bonni graduated from High School in Colorado. She valued learning and always encouraged those around her. Bonni was proud knowing she was a descendent from Italy. She loved sharing that information with her friends and family. Bonni and William made their home on North Avenue and had a menagerie of animals. Including, but not limited to: birds, chipmunks, ducks, geese, rabbits, squirrels, owls, and numerous dogs and cats. Her two beloved Rottweilers, Bishop and Sheba, brought immeasurable joy to her heart.
Outside of work and caring for animals, Bonni found joy and happiness in music, movies, and gardening. The enchanting melodies of Celine Dion spoke to her soul, while any movie featuring Denzel Washington captivated her attention. These artistic expressions provided comfort and inspiration throughout her life.
Bonni leaves behind her loving husband William C. Atkins Price of 28 years, her loving siblings Marcine L. Riggsbee, Pamela Chiaramonte, and Lydia Chiaramonte and Vincent (Cathy) Chiaramonte, beloved nieces and nephews: Anthony (Marrianne) Kotrosios, Marco (Melissa) Trakos, Christina Cartwright, Kristian Chiaramonte, Vincent Chiaramonte, and Vanessa Chiaramonte.
Bonni was preceeded in death by her father Tony Chiaramonte, her mother Ruth M. Vander Vere, nee Gibson, her sisters Toni Jo Chiaramonte, Franci L. Riggsbee, her niece Cherri L. Cartwright.
Bonni will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. However, we are grateful for the memories we have shared with her and for the impact she made in our lives.
