Bette-Gene Colby, 92, of Park City died on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Pavilion of Waukegan. She was born on September 12, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI to Andrew and Clara Liptak.
She is survived by her son, Terrance Schweider; brother, Robert (Dell) Liptak; cousin, Michael Ano; best friend, B.J. Swenson and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Colonel James Liptak and Earl Liptak.
Bette worked and retired after many years of service from the Lake County Director of Finance's Office.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee with visitation one hour prior to services on Thursday. Deacon Michael Penich will officiate. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
