Betsy Hutcherson

Betsy Ayako Hutcherson, 87, of Gurnee, passed away December 25, 2012 at home. She was born July 2, 1925 in Ookala, Hawaii to Isoichi and Mitsuno (Otsuka) Kishida. On October 28, 1961, Betsy married Henry Hutcherson. Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Henry; daughter, Betty (Gene) Crews of Zolfo Springs, FL; grandchildren, Jeffery Crews and Tammy (Bob) Peters. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Kishida; sisters, Millie Humbert, Amy Koge and Shizuko Kishida.
Betsy attended Gurnee Community Church, was in the Asian Singing Club in Hawaii, and retired from Abbott Labs. She loved crossword puzzles, and was an avid Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks fan. Memorial services, Saturday, January 5, 2013, 11am with one hour of visitation prior to services at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Inurnment is private at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
