Bernard A. Sesko, age 80, of Wildwood, IL passed away at home on July 22, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Bernie is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Audrey nee Pierce. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this October. He is survived by 2 daughters, Robin (Dave) Petrie, of Irma, WI; Christine (Michael) Berek of Grayslake, IL; 1 son Steve Sesko of Wildwood, IL; 1 brother, Bruce (Cindy) Sesko of Antioch, IL; 3 grandchildren, William, Alaine, and Aleece,; 2 nephews, Steven and Erik Sesko; 3 nieces, Laurie Sherell, Sharon and Janet Dowdal. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard N Sesko and Florence M Larson and one sister Jackie Dowdal.
Bernie, owner of North West Janitorial Service enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, and was an avid reader. He was like a father to many kids in his neighborhood. Bernie belonged to the Zion Moose Lodge; Feather Busters Hunting Club in Richmond, IL; and HFO Fishing Club in Minnesota. He was dedicated to his family, hardworking, loyal to friends, but his grandchildren were his passion.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with services at 8:00PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald McDonald House or Wildwood Presbyterian are appreciated.
