Anna Abear

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Anna "Corky" Abear, 85, of Lake Villa, IL, passed Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born on March 21, 1927 in Jefferson City, Missouri to the late Robert and Eva (Swedberg) French. Corky married Manuel D. Abear on July 20, 1943 in Chicago, IL.

Corky was the beloved wife for 68 years to Manuel Abear, who passed away on August 20, 2011; loving mother to Sandra Abear, Danuel (Mariann) Abear, and Brandon S. (Donna) Abear; sister to Robert French; grandmother to Tina, Robert, Teri, Brandon M., Samantha, Willy, Sean, Daniel, and Lisa; great grandmother to Robin, Joseph, Ashley, Jon, Erik, Finn, Rennie, Simon, and great-great grandmother to Jaden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Betty Spencer and Marie Ross.

A gathering will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 pm at the funeral home following the gathering. Deacon Larry Spohr from St. Bede Catholic Church in Fox Lake will officiate. A private family inurnment will take place at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
