Ange Triplett

September 19, 1947 — July 24, 2016

A Time to be Born:
Ange L. Triplett was born to the union of J.T. "Bud" and
Ruby L. Smith. She was born on September 19, 1947, in
Indianola, MS. She was the oldest of 7 children and it
was understood that she was the boss. When their
parents went into town, her siblings would get into fights
amongst themselves ; but, they knew better than to
challenge Ange. Ange was educated in the state of
Mississippi and attended Gentry High school. Early in her
childhood, she developed a love for fashion. It was her
ultimate goal to keep her socks white and her shoes
clean. Her appearance was always perfect. She never
was an outdoors person; but, whenever she ventured
out, her favorite thing to do was to make mud pies and
pretend she lived in the vacant house next door.
A Time to Bloom:
Ange met her husband as a young teen in Indianola,
MS. They relocated to Illinois in 1965. She and her husband
raised their four children and their Granddaughter,
Kassie in North Chicago, IL. Ange was a dedicated
employee of Westvaco's Envelope division for 36 years .
After her retirement, she opened Lorial's Kid Care in 2003.
A Time to Serve:
Ange gave her life to Christ at an early age and later
became a member of Prayer of Garden Church of God
in Christ, along with her mother, in 1976. She served as
the first President of the Senior Choir. She also served as
a teacher in the Prayer and Bible Band.
She was also the teacher for the Jr. Sunday School Class. Her
most recent role in the ministry was Assistant Superintendent of
Sunday School.
A Time to Rest:
Ange believed that God was going to heal her on this side of
Heaven or the other. On July 24, 2016, God received her home
and healed her.
A Time to Reflect:
