Amy Joy Peceny

Amy Joy Peceny (nee Weber), 55, passed away peacefully at home in Gurnee, IL on March 22, 2025. Amy was born on December 9, 1969, in Highland Park, IL, the daughter of the late James "Web" and Carol Weber. Amy is survived by the love of her life, husband Stanley "Stan" Peceny, her children Matthew "Matty", Joseph "Joey" and Margaret "Maggie" Kopp, her faithful dog Sully, her sister Ann (Clint) Lebiecki, brother Jim (Cathy) Weber, nephews Jimmy, Johnny, and Curtis, nieces Sarah and Mary and honorary family members Rosemary "Grammy" and Joe Smith.

Amy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who was dedicated to her family and her faith in the Lord. Amy is well known to have lived life to the fullest with love, laughter, courage, grace, and strength.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Martha Twaddle of Northwestern Medicine and the hospice team Beverly, Mimi, and Anea from Suncrest Hospice whose dedicated and compassionate care for Amy was a true expression of love during her final journey.

Friends and family will meet for visitation from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. There will be a short Celebration of Life service following the visitation.

Amy will be deeply missed by all who have known and loved her.
