Ahti Ahlberg

Ahti E. Ahlberg, 96, of Grayslake died February 20, 2010 at home. He was born on August 9, 1913 in Massachusetts. He married Lola Christian in Zion forty five years ago. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola Ahlberg; children, Marilyn Stolarik, Doris (Steve) Drury, Gerald Christian and Linda Katalinich; sister, Ali Cardana; eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ahti was a US Army veteran serving during WWII in France and Belgium. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee. Donations may be made to the Heart Foundation.
